PREPARATION FOR BALLET
Wednesdays, July 8, 15, 22 & 29, Ages 3-5
9:30 - 10:30 am
Cost: $60 for the 4 class session
For our youngest dancers, this class, taught by Katie Bissinger, encourages a love of movement and sets the foundation for the full range of classical dance.
TAP I
Wednesdays, July 8, 15, 22 & 29, Ages 5+
10:30 - 11:30 am
Cost: $60 for the 4 class session
Dancers will learn the fundamentals of Broadway tap with former Radio City Rockette Katie Bissinger.
LOWER SCHOOL BALLET I
Wednesdays, July 8, 15, 22 & 29, Ages 5-7
11:30 am - 12:30 pm
Cost: $60 for the 4 class session
This class, taught by Katie Bissinger, introduces dancers to specific ballet steps using proper technique with an emphasis on creative and expressive movement and music appreciation.
DANCE EXPLORATIONS
July 13 - 17 AND August 3 - 7, 9 am-12 pm, Ages 6-11
In-studio performance Fridays, July 17 and August 7
Cost: $180 for the week
Dancers will explore a different discipline each day of the week - ballet, modern, tap, jazz and theater dance. Taught by former Radio City Rockette Katie Bissinger.
NEW!  DANCE FOUNDATIONS
July 6 - 10, 10 am - 2 pm, Ages 8-12
In-studio performance Friday, July 10 at 2 pm
Cost: $200 for the week
Dancers will focus exclusively on both classical ballet and modern technique, the two disciplines that are the foundations for all that we do at Ballet Arts Studio.  The emphasis will be on communicating through movement using technique, phrasing and dynamic energy. Taught by Ballet Arts' faculty member Claire Deane.
BALLET INTENSIVES
August 10-14 AND August 17-21, 10 am - 4 pm, Ages 12+
In-studio performance on each Friday at 6 pm
Cost: $375 or $700 for both weeks
During these two five day programs, which can be taken separately or together, and which are taught by former New York City Ballet dancer Miriam Mahdaviani, mornings will be devoted to warm-up and technique. In the afternoons, dancers will do pointe work and work on Variations, as well as study character dance, dance history, nutrition and injury prevention. During these Intensive weeks, dancers will develop strength, technique, performance qualities, and maturity of movement, skills which will fundamentally assist each dancer in her or his work in the classroom and on stage.
All classes are dependent upon enrollment and
all class placement decisions will be made by Ballet Arts Faculty.
